GPM-500
500W mono channel, class-D / high power amplifier for subwoofer

GPM-500, a 500-watt plate type power amplifier of mono channel, is created for integration with subwoofer speaker for optimum bass / ultra-low sound effect performance in an audio system.

The GPM-500 adopts high efficiency switching mode power supply for driving speaker through its digital/ class-D amplifier, ultimately allows compact size and low weight for not just itself but also the integrated speaker system.

Incorporating the latest DSP technology, the GPM-500’s built-in CPU provides capability of adjusting and storing the amplifier’s working parameters through a notebook computer (via the USB aperture) or with the supplied remote control unit during installation and acoustic refinement.

(see table below for DSP functions)

To assist the setup, particularly when using the remote handset, a LCM panel is provided (as an optional item) to give feedback of the unit’s status during browsing functions, doing controls and making selections.

The GPM-500 is equipped with RCA jacks (the most commonly-used connector) and XLR terminals (for higher immunity and less noise).

XLR connector is rigid and provides much higher standard of S/N ratio when a long signal cable between source and the subwoofer speaker is needed (for instance, outdoor or in a ballroom), compared to the other types of signal connectivity.
