PDS-500s / PDS-250s
class-D / RACK-MOUNT sub-woofer amplifier

PDS-500s / PDS-250s are rack-mount type power amplifiers of mono channel for driving subwoofer speaker in an audio system; With the rich functions built in these amplifiers, user is capable to do fine tune to the audio system for optimum bass performance and system balance. The PDS-500s and the PDS-250s have identical functions and features, other than

the maximum output power. Both models adopt high efficiency switching mode power supply for driving speaker through the digital/ class-D amplifier, which allows low-profile of 1U and low weight for them.

Incorporating the latest DSP technology, the PDS-500s / PDS-250s’ built-in CPU provides capability of adjusting and storing the amplifier’s working parameters through a notebook computer (via the USB aperture) or with the supplied remote control unit during installation and acoustic refinement.

(see table below for DSP functions)

To assist the setup, particularly when using the remote handset, a LCM panel is provided to give feedback of the unit’s status during browsing functions, doing controls and making selections.

The PDS-500s / PDS-250s are equipped with RCA jacks (the most commonly-used connector) and XLR terminals (for higher immunity and less noise).

XLR connector is rigid and provides much higher standard of S/N ratio when a long signal cable between source and the subwoofer speaker is needed (for instance, outdoor or in a ballroom), compared to the other types of signal connectivity.
